Why Followership?

Followers are in a critical role to influence leaders, and we must all be in tune with this skillset. 

We spend the majority of our lives developing followership skills and learning how to interact with our surroundings. The truth is that great followers create great leaders and organizations.

Followership is the flip side of leadership, and is necessary to master and to support our environment, our colleagues, and our leader.

Join me to learn ways to strengthen your organization and learn specific insight on how to support your growth.

This course will enlighten you on the differences between leadership and followership, and how leaders and followers work together to build a strong and sustainable organization. The course will discuss the social identity theory on how leaders and followers interact, and how leaders can intentionally, develop authentic followership among their team.

This course is delivered through video and includes worksheets and reflective exercises that can be completed at your own pace. 

At the conclusion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1. Understand the social dynamics of leaders and followers within the workplace, and how these dynamics work to effectively meet organizational objectives.
2. Integrate knowledge of how to encourage psychological ownership among followers within your organization.
3. Compare and contrast how leaders and followers work together to develop authentic followership.

Who is Kelly Tanner?

Kelly has been fully invested in developing leadership within dental hygiene for over 20 years through mentoring, coaching, and serving the profession. Kelly invested her doctoral studies to understand leadership skills and methods to best develop leadership among dental hygienists.
