This course will provide an orientation to the oral-systemic link and avenues of medical-dental integration. From a needs assessment to gauge a practice’s readiness, to clinical workflow, to billing, this course will address the challenges and opportunities for collaboration in a medical setting.

1.     Identify emerging models of care that support medical-dental integration.

2.     Learn how a needs assessment is key to implementing oral health and key questions to address. 

3.     Recognize the avenues of medical-dental integration and learn specific examples of where a dental hygienist can be integrated.
